You’ve got a generous 16 inches of black full-grain leather protecting your shins and calves from rough wood and pieces of sharp metal. The vamp even has an extra layer of leather lining the inside to protect your toes.

Once you’ve made it to the top, you don’t want to meet up with the ground before your time, and these Linesman Boots have several features to defend against such a catastrophe. The shank is made of heavy duty steel for firm, steady support on narrow perches. The two-piece treaded rubber sole is oil-resistant and has a 90 degree heel to help with grip on rungs and spikes.

For comfort, Carolina supplies their Pillow Cushion® insole made of a very dense but lightweight foam that cradles your foot with every step. This is coupled with a DRYZ layer. DRYZ is a revolutionary moisture control system that wicks away moisture and coverts it into a gel on a molecular level. This moisture than dissipates through the footwear throughout the day, keeping your feet dry and fresh.

Lineman cannot afford to waste their time with flimsy boots. That's why Danner® developed the Power Line, a true lineman's boot. The uppers are made of tough, alkali-resistant, full-grain waterproof leather with a triple-stitched instep overlay for long-lasting resistance to abrasions and scuffs. With an extra-heavy steel shank and a reinforced, supportive midsole, it's built to climb and not wear your feet out. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner keeps you dry in the toughest conditions, and the 200-gram Thinsulate™ insulation keeps feet warm on cool days. The tough Vibram® outsole provides solid traction on all surfaces. And with the stitchdown construction, the boot upper is stitched to the insole with heavy thread for an extremely secure attachment.
